Easter is around the corner, and while it’s a celebrated religious holiday, it’s also the unofficial start of spring and the perfect time to put on your favorite pastel outfit and spend time with family and friends. There are plenty of ways to celebrate Bunny Day, like setting up an Easter egg hunt for the little ones or simply sharing an Easter basket full of chocolate with your closest friends. Whether you're looking for family-friendly activities, delicious brunch spots, or unique celebrations, there’s something for everyone.

Here are some ways to celebrate Easter Sunday in the DMV:

The OMNI Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C. hosts a weekend of events each year, including a long-standing tradition; an annual Easter egg hunt. The kid-friendly event includes over 500 eggs and special golden eggs that offer certificates for a complimentary stay at the 4-star hotel.

The hotel also hosts an Easter brunch with a buffet, cocktails, live music, and of course a visit from the Easter Bunny! The Easter cocktail menu features bellinis, frozen Rosé, mimosas, and bunny marys.

Brunch is held at Robert’s Restaurant inside the hotel at 2500 Calvert St., Northwest from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the Easter egg hunt is held in the hotel’s picture-perfect cherry tree garden surrounded by 30,000 blooming tulips from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The Museum of the Bible in Washington D.C. hosts a series of events, activities, and exhibits leading up to Easter Sunday. From March 1 to April 8, the museum has an interactive Station of the Cross art experience. The church tradition commemorates 14 events from the final hours of Jesus’ life.

The museum will also host an Easter Brunch on March 30 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The meal is inspired by the complex flavors of Israeli cuisine, including Challah French Toast and Lamb and Beef Kafta. Tickets are $55 per person. See the full brunch menu and buy tickets HERE.

If you’re looking for a great meal and a gorgeous view, check out the Skydome in Arlington, Virginia. The revolving rooftop restaurant offers 360-degree views of the Washington D.C. skyline and will be hosting “Brunch in the Sky” on Easter Sunday. The gourmet menu, curated by Executive Chef Chris Murry and Chef de Cuisine Guy Ododi, will feature Citrus Poached Shrimp, Maryland Crab Cake Benedict, and a carving station with Herb Crusted Prime Rib. The dessert menu includes Beignets and Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee. A complimentary mimosa will be served to each guest. Book your table HERE.
