International clothing retailer Primark is opening a new store in Tysons Corner Center in Northern Virginia on Tuesday, July 16! The brand will host a series of events to celebrate opening week.

On Tuesday, shoppers can expect free treats from Georgetown Cupcakes and other giveaways while supplies last. Primark’s parking lot entrance will host free food trucks on Saturday, July 20, and Sunday, July 21 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Primark offers the latest fashion trends along with homeware and beauty essentials. The Tysons store is the brand’s first location in Virginia and the second in the DMV area after the recent opening at Arundel Mills in Hanover. Primark also acquired leases at Potomac Mills in Woodbridge and the Mall at Prince George’s in Hyattsville.

"After a successful Arundel Mills opening, we've seen a growing demand for more Primark stores across the DMV area and especially in the Washington, D.C. metro area. We're ready to open our doors in Tysons to bring 'Primania' to even more US shoppers, with many Virginia shoppers able to explore the store for the first time," said Kevin Tulip, President of Primark US.

The opening of this latest location comes as Primark continues to expand its presence in the U.S. The Tysons store will bring the brand to 25 U.S. stores across 10 states and 445 stores globally. The Tysons store will sell denim and t-shirts, viral beauty brands, as well as NBA and NFL apparel for Washington Commanders and Wizards fans.
